Magic in the Details: The Picture Scavenger Hunt
How many blue crayons can you find in Rosie Unlocks Christmas?
In the story, Loxbe shows Rosie how small, good choices make her kindness meter climb higher and higher. You can build your own meter at home!
Draw a Keyhole: Grab a piece of paper or cardboard and draw a large golden keyhole.
Make a Scale: Draw a vertical line next to it with markers, numbering it from 1 to 10.
Earn Golden Sparks: Every time a child performs a kind deed (like sharing a toy, helping clean up, or brushing a pet's fur), let them add a yellow star sticker, a golden stamp, or color in a block on the meter!
Light Up the Sky: Watch the meter climb all the way to the top to keep the holiday magic alive!
Remember this as you head out into the world today:
K — Keep trying, even when kindness feels difficult.
I — Include others the way you'd want to be included.
N — Notice what someone else might need.
D — Do small things that make a big difference.
“Let's Be kind, Let's Be brave, and Let's Be the change we want to see in the world!”
